VVA Chapter 1069 Members Attend WW2 Veteran's 95th Birthday Party!

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, several of our chapter members attended the 95th birthday celebration for WW-2 Veteran, Howard Rodman, a local resident of El Campo, Texas. See picture below - Howard is the spry looking fellow in the lower right corner of the picture. smiley Chapter Vice-President, Leonard Sternadel, is in the red shirt, far right.

Howard served in World War II for the duration. He was in the Battle of the Bulge (December 1944 to January 1945). He was also a messenger runner for General Patton. Quite a record! All the Vietnam Veterans of VVA Chapter 1069 would also like to wish Howard a very Happy Birthday and many more to come.

Everyone enjoyed meeting and talking with Howard. All our members commented that Howard was "sharp as a tack!".

Our Chapter officers would like to thank all those members that showed their respects by attended the birthday celebration for Howard. Also note that some of our members that attended the celebration are not seen in the above photo, but are inluded in our thanks. The chapter would also like to thank Mike Ryan for alerting our chapter of Howard's bithday. Mike is a big supporter of our chapter and all veterans. Mike also has his own local veterans support organization called, Everyday Heroes.
