The meeting was held at Mikeska’s BBQ, (located on Hwy 59) El Campo, TX.
The chapter would like to thank Mikeska family for advertising our chapter meeting on their
new electronic color sign. See photo above.
-
Above photo shows chapter Vice President Larry Monroe, declaring the meeting open at our new
meeting start time, 6:00 PM. The following business was transacted...
-
The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited and a prayer was said.
-
The following Board members were present: Monroe, Steelman, Woods, Limas, Milder and Prudencio.
There were 17 members and 6 guests present. Monroe then introduced Tom Hauser, US Navy, as the
newest member of the chapter. Due to the bad and cold weather, the attendance was lighter
than usual for a chapter meeting.
-
Vice President, Monroe, welcomed everyone and informed the members that President McCreary had been
ill recently and would not be able to make the meeting. It was also reported that chapter member,
Joe Krasucky, had been ill in the hospital, but was now at home.
-
Chapter member, Augie Limas stated the Wreaths Across America project had been attended by himself,
Ron Miller and Harold Peikert (sorry if we overlooked anyone). He added the event could have been
handled better and that maybe next year the Chapter could do more to support the event.

The request by the Kentucky VVA State Council for tornado disaster assistance was discussed.
It was unanimously voted to approve a $1,000.00 donation by the Chapter. $750.00 was also collected
from various chapter members, for a total of $1,750.00, that will be sent to the Kentucky VVA
State Council. The chapter officers and BOD members would like to thank all those members who
donated money to the VVA KSC. I'm sure all those Kentucky VVA membes who lost their homes due to
the tornadoes very much appreciate the help.
