On Thursday, November 11, 2021, several chapter members and spouses attended the Lavaca Navidad River Authority (LNRA) Veterans Ceremony & Appreciation Dinner, held at the Brackenridge Main Event Center. The Main Event Center is located just outside of Brackenridge park, at the North end of Lake Texana, between Ganado and Edna.
Above photo shows our chapter members sitting together at one of the dinner tables. A big thanks to Rose Peikert (sitting lower right) for sending us this photo. Chapter members have been attending this event for several years and have nothing but good things to say about the Dinner, the Ceremony and the folks running the event. And they say, the event is drawing more veterans and is getting bigger every year. Note that later in the evening, after the meal and ceremony, they also put on a wonderful fire works show, just outside the Main Event building.
