2018 Christmas Party
Texas VVA Chapter 1069 held its 7th annual Christmas Party at Mikeska's BBQ in El Campo. Approximately 100+ members, spouses & guests attended the Christmas party, another outstanding attendance! The Social hour lasted from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Wine, beer, punch & snacks were enjoyed before the meal, with fun activites following the meal. The evening dinner was catered by Mikeska's BBQ. The membership enjoyed chicken fried steak, buttered mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, salad, with peach cobbler & ice cream for dessert. The Mikeska staff really did a wonderful job preparing and serving the meal.

Leonard also thanked all those who attended the Christmas party and expressed a special thanks to those who helped with the banquet room & table decorations, and helping with the gifts handout - they included; Louis & Carolyn Milder, Larry Monroe, Ron Miller, Dana Sternadel, Brenda Steelman & Diane Neumann.

Leonard also thanked Frank and Nancy Kacal, who volunteered to help at the ticket table so all chapter members could visit. Thanks also to Gerry and Nick Mikeska for allowing us to call their restaurant our "home" and their employees for all the help and cleanup, especially Jody who helps us all year long. He also apologized if there was anyone he forgot to mention who helped, but thanked them too.

Leonard also sent a Christmas message to the membership. "Dana and I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - See you all at the January meeting."

In all, the Christmas party was wonderful and everyone had a great time. More photos below are shown below - Enjoy! And, we hope to see everyone again at next year's VVA 1069 chapter Christmas party!

Above photo, center - shows the special guest for the evening, Ronnie Miller, who's famous for being "The Luckiest Man In The World". Ronnie is shown in the photo winning his 15th raffle prize of the evening! Ok, maybe a bit of exageration, but you had to be there to believe how lucky he was! Just kidding Ronnie. However, you did provide a lot of entertainment for the party, so everyone thanks you for that.
